******BEWARE OF PROMISSORY NOTE DOCUMENT******



I found a car at Lucas Honda of Jacksonville I liked and told them I was pre-approved for a loan at my credit union. We began the process of completing paperwork to purchase the car afterwards I contacted my credit union for their final approval. My credit union denied the loan approval because they indicated that the car was over-valued and they were only going to approve the MSRP. The difference in price between the sticker price and the MSRP was approximately $2,000.



Lucas Honda would not budge from their sticker price so I decided to check with Duval Honda to see if they had the same car. They had the same car and were ok with selling the car for the MSRP that my credit union would allow. We closed on the car at Duval Honda.



In the meantime Lucas Honda was irate and informed me that I owed them $1,000 for signing their Promissory Note document stating (in so many words) I agreed to purchase the car for the sticker price when I told them several times I was pre-approved by my credit union. I recently received documents from their attorney suing me for $1,000 plus $295 attorney fees.



Beware of signing any and all documents when doing business with Lucas Honda and preferably consider Duval Honda as they have better pricing and deals.

Had to have a warranty item fixed and had to return 2x before the finally ordered right part but because I had the inconvienience of having to come back when they finally fixed it they filled my car and apologized for the mix up. I have had service on both my hondas there and will return again their customer service has never disappointed me.

Awesome service and sales. I drive an hour and 1/2 to have my vehicle serviced there because they are worth it!

WHEN PURCHASING A VEHICLE THEY WILL NOT WORK ASSIST YOU -- WAS READY TO PURCHASE THAN PERSONNEL TALKS TO YOU LIKE YOU ARE DIRT CHANGED MIND -- DO NOT HAVE TO BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY WILL TRY TO MAKE YOU TAKE VEHICLE FROM THEM OR RUIN YOUR CREDIT SINCE THEY HAVE YOUR INFORMATION. NOT A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. WILL NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO GO THERE.
