Traffic Engineering is a part of the city of Jacksonville, Fla. It offers traffic engineering services and regulates pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the city. The division provides planning services for upgrading transportation systems. It provides maintenance and supervision of street markings and signs, traffic signals and other traffic control devices. The department works with sheriff's office to enforce laws and regulations related to traffic. It also works with the Right of Way and Grounds Maintenance Division, the Florida Department of Transportation and other agencies regarding the design and planning of streets to work to ensure safe and efficient control of traffic.
