Ryan Perkins, M.D., Board Certified in Radiation Oncology, instituted the first prostate seed implant program in Jacksonville in 1996, shortly after arriving in Florida following completion of his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Perkins is an active member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Radiology. His cancer research has been published and presented nationally and internationally. Vital to Ackerman Cancer Center, Dr. Perkins guides the Center’s comprehensive support programs and serves the community in many meaningful ways, including as a dedicated volunteer with the North Florida Council of Boy Scouts. While growing up in Kaysville, Utah, Dr. Perkins acquired a lifelong love of fishing. He completed both his undergraduate and professional studies at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City.
