Founded in 1954, the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut is a nonprofit organization that offers a range of outpatient mental health services for children and adolescents. It serves individuals with psychological, behavioral, developmental, social and family problems. The center administers a child, adolescent and family therapy program. The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut provides emergency mobile crisis, as well as operates a child sexual abuse response team. It offers various home-based services and supports a community emergency response program. The center provides parent consultation solutions, as well as organizes seminars and workshops. In addition, the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut serves individuals with depression, anxiety, and eating and sleeping disorders.
