Provided by YP.comNever will I use Bowman HVAC in Jax again! Will never have another Goodman Product either. Less than a year after they installed a new heat pump the compressor died. Then took 5 days to get a the parts. Try 5 days in Jacksonville Florida in September without A/C. I only had to 3 nights but my poor wife had to deal with all 5. Neither Bowman or Goodman stood behind there product for anything but the compressor. Not for the Freon? Not for the othe parts needed to replace a compressor and not for the technician’s labor. Made the warranty a joke as I paid $735 less than a year after paying $2,500 to replace the heat pump they said needed replacing with the unit they recommended.

Provided by YP.comMy HOA manager called first for me, well before closing, stating my AC was not cooling, and it was up to 80 degrees in my house. I placed the second call at 4:30pm, and a man called back in about 5 minutes, and said he would be right on out, but I would be charged after hours rates. I didn t like this, but I agreed, since this is the company our HOA was using. He came out, stated ALL my freon was gone, and had to re-fill the unit with freon. He claimed to have checked everything out, and it was working just like it should , and left 1 1/2 hours later. The next day, it was hot again in my house, reaching a temperature of 84 degrees, and I called by 1:30pm to tell them this was not fixed and they needed to send someone out that could fix this. Again, the after hours guy called and said he would be out, but he had another call he had to do first. I was ok with that, until he called me at almost 6pm saying he wouldn t be able to make it today. I explained again to him, I have a daughter with a fatal neurological disorder that cannot tolerate the heat. Her medications clearly state that she cannot be in the heat. The man said, I ll call you back in a little while and let you know if I can make it. At 7:30pm he called and said he definitely would not be out. He said he had broken down NEXT DOOR! He said he would let the office know and I should hear from someone after 7am the next morning. They didn t call me. I called them. I left a message a few minutes after 7am, no call back. I called again, a few minutes after 8am, and talked to another man that said he knew about the night guy not making it, and he would work me into the schedule. I told him about my daughter s condition. I also stressed the point that I had the night time guy out two nights ago, and was told my system was running just like it should . That did not seem to make any difference with him. My HOA manager called later in the morning and tried to get them to expedite the call, especially since we had paid the after hours rate and was told it was running just like it should and because of my daughter s medical condition. They gave him the same we ll try to work her into the schedule . This is now the fourth day of roasting in my home! My daughter is so ill, she cannot even get out of bed. If we call in another company, we would void any warranty or claim we have for the first call to Bowman. So, we are in a pickle, stuck in the heat, hoping they will make it out and hoping they can really fix the AC this time! Of course, I ll be charged again, I am sure. Personally, I feel since they did NOT fix the issue the first time, and after charging me prime rates, I SHOULD have been bumped to the first call of the day. I also believe they should have given my daughter s medical condition high consideration. This shows me that they do shoddy work, charge prime rates for the shoddy work, do not back up their work, and have no care for the fellow man kind. I will NOT use this company again and I would HIGHLY recommend you do NOT use them as well!
Today is May 10th, 2013. This is the 3rd service all for the SAME problem. It's obviously still not fixed. Even though the tech on the 2nd visit swore he had fixed the issue, it's clearly not fixed. They didn't return my calls for a week, otherwise this service all would have been even sooner. This has been a huge waste of money on service calls (especially since the first two were after hours), waste of money on freon being refilled over and over and so on. If it weren't for the HOA having a contract with this company, I would have fired them long ago. Please don't waste your time and money on them. It's just a huge headache in the making.
