  Justin advises employers on workplace issues and compliance with state and federal employment laws. He counsels employers regarding employee hiring, discipline, separation, leave management, and best practices in the workplace. Justin works with clients to reduce risk and minimize legal costs by giving practical advice on workplace issues. If litigation is unavoidable, he vigorously defends employers in claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and whistleblower claims, disability claims, medical and family leave claims, wage and hour violations, workplace safety violations, and other employment related claims. Justin also provides management and employee training and speaks to business and professional organizations.

  Jason E. Vail is a shareholder with the Firm’s Tallahassee office. Jason counsels employers on employment compliance issues and litigates cases under various federal and state employment and labor laws, including, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, regarding discrimination claims based on race, religion, gender, national origin, and pregnancy. He has also represented employers in cases brought under the Age Discrimination and Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Florida Civil Rights Act, Chapter 760 F.S., the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), the Florida Workers’ Compensation Law, the Florida Reemployment Assistance Program Law, and various state and federal constitutional claims including First Amendment challenges. Jason also litigates disputes involving classification of independent contractors and drafted and enforced executive contracts and non-compete agreements.
