The museum is designed around five primary initiatives – Literacy, STEM, Health and Nutrition, Cultural Arts and Mississippi Heritage—the keys to helping our children mature into healthy and productive adult learners. MCM’s five permanent galleries reflect our initiatives and provide children and adults an opportunity to experience our state’s key industries, literary influences, facets of our heritage, art culture and efforts to transform lifelong health – through hands-on, interactive exhibits.
