In 1945, H.T. Long, R.H Robinson and W. Harry Johnson, formed a corporation and broke ground on a mechanized brick plant facility in Jackson, Miss. Tri-State Brick & Tile Company uses sand colors indigenous to the area. The sand provides raw materials to produce a consistent supply of distinctive brick. Tri-State Brick & Tile Company is also a distributor of other leading brick manufacturers.
