YMCA Storer Camps has been providing adventures for campers and families throughout the world for more than 80 years. The camp, which has a location in Jackson, Mich., offers summer programs that provide campers with the opportunity to gain independence, make new friends, develop new skills, challenge themselves, succeed in a community environment and have fun. Programs offered include outdoor environmental education; outdoor retreat and conference camping; Operation 600, which is a program that began in 1954 with 50 men volunteering 600 hours of labor during a weekend to maintain and improve the camp s facilities; and Greentree. Since 1918, YMCA Storer Camps have served the youth and families of Ohio, Michigan and beyond.
