Established in 1951, Cascades Elementary School provides a variety of educational and extracurricular programs for more than 300 students in kindergarten through grade two. The school s academic curriculum includes English, social studies, science and mathematics. It also conducts classes in foreign language, information technology and fine arts. Cascades Elementary School has a work force of teachers, social workers and nurses. The school is located in Jackson, Mich., and is a part of Jackson Public Schools, which serves over 7,000 students in high, middle and elementary schools. Jackson Public Schools operates several departments, such as human resources, transportation, and health and human services. Additionally, it is governed by an eight-member board.
