The Central Georgia Electric Membership Corporation is a nonprofit, consumer-owned electric distribution system. The cooperative maintains a staff of more than 150 employees and contractors that serves over 100,000 customers. The Central Georgia Electric Membership Corporation maintains nearly 43,500 meters and approximately 4,700 miles of distribution lines. It offers a variety of outdoor lighting choices to meet residential, commercial and industrial needs. In addition, the cooperative offers security program, which provides intrusion and fire detection, closed-circuit television and access control services. The Central Georgia Electric Membership Corporation has been operational for more than 65 years and is located in Jackson, Ga.
