On Nov 25,2009, I pulled into this station to purchase fuel. I selected Diesel and proceeded to fill the tank as I washed windshield. When I returned , the pump had only pumped 4.8 gal. I shut the pump off and asked manager Zee if something was the matter with pump. He told me to move to big truck side of station,. As I pulled in to this side, my truck quit running and the indicator light read " water in fuel" . I went inside to ask Zee about this problem. He was on the phone with another customer. When he got off the phone, I asked him to run some diesel fuel in a gallon can from the pump I just used. It was 90% water and he told me there were 4 other customers that had called complaining of the same problem. I had to have my truck and 34'5th wheel trailer towed from the Big B Truck Stop to Cleburne, TX.



I stopped back on Nov 27, 2009 to turn in my claim for the repairs to my truck and other expenses. Dave Mangat , the station manager assured me that my claim of $300.04 from Rick's Automotive, $68.00 for lodging for 2 nights and the $11.56 in charges for the contaminated diesel fuel for a total of $368.04 would be taken care of. Now after 3 weeks of calling Dave Mangat he is saying that he is not responsible for this as I probably didn't buy fuel from him. My credit card receipt proves that I did pump the diesel fuel SO TAKE NOTICE: DO NOT TRADE WITH THIS MERCHANT AS HE DOES NOT CARE A WIT ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS ONLY HIS PROFIT. I worked in the Oil business so I know damn good and well he should have insurance for these kind of things as the same thing happened to my station but insurance took care of it. So it is not like the money is coming out of his pocket. Even if it was, an honest merchant would want to take care of his customers.



Shell Oil Company is being notified about this station operator not treating their customers properly.
