Provided by YP.comI am so grateful for everyone at GSVS from the receptionists who answer the phones to the techs and Dr.'s that care for my babies! I have been coming to GSVS for over 15 years with at least 6-7 of my dogs. I've also referred MANY!! (Tinton Falls office as well) I have NEVER had a bad experience. I have of course had some unfortunate luck and some sick and injured pets but never any issues with Dr.'s or staff! Everyone is always very professional, companionate and extremely patient with me and my pets!
My 6 month old French Bulldog was admitted on Sunday afternoon after becoming ill from eating the stuffing of a toy... The Dr.'s called me with updates multiple times. I also was a bit annoying and called in between to check on my baby. EVERYONE who I spoke with was extremely pleasant and answered my concerns and gave me detailed updates!! (even though I know I was annoying!!! Sorry guys) I could never thank you all enough for what you've done for my family throughout the years! As much as I hope I don't have to come back. I am always confident that my pets will get by far the BEST care possible at either GSVS facilities ! A sincere heartfelt thank you to all!!! I don't want to name names because I'm afraid I will leave someone out... you know who are
With sincere thanks and puppy kisses

Provided by YP.comWorst vet I ever went.and i'm not young nor was this my 1st trip to a vet. I hope they don't put you through the pain and suffering they put me through. And this has nothing to do about their pricing. I;m complaing about the staff. I wouldn't recommend GSVS if they were your last choice.

took my 8 year old dog there with a minor limp in her back leg. Spent 400 dollars. for them to tell me shell need surgery on her knee. wanted 3000 for the surgery. Got a second opinion told to get some Glucosamine supplements with in 2 weeks my dog was back to normal. When asked why i was charged so much for them just to look at my dog and do some blood work. They told me your paying 150 for emergency visit. I said its not an emergency. My regular vet was closed. Long story short, If its not an emergency and you want to save money. Wait to see your regular vet. Not to mention the Doc on call not going to mention her name. But she couldnt even explain to me in detail what was wrong with my dog.

My dog was referred to Garden State from our local Banfield with fever, limping and was not eating. 48 hrs later, he was discharged and still was not eating, walking very little and was in extreme pain. I then decided to get a THIRD opinion at another Vet. Within 20 minutes of being there, he was dx. with having an obstruction in his stomach. Surgery was conducted and with 24 hours, he was back to normal. I was charged 2400 dollars for my dog to be left to die by Garden State. He was discharged with a fever and didn't eat for 6days. Think twice before you take your animal to this butcher shop.
Had an emergency with my rabbit last night - and although they don't treat exotics, they offered to see her and attempt to stabilize her. The quality of care was outstanding. They did a subQ rehydration and gave me meds to give her for pain. They offered hospitalization, but it was offered in such a way that I felt comfortable in choosing to take her home. This morning? Crisis adverted, and my bun is back to her normal self. Kudos to Dr. Hiu and the staff for their professionalism.
My bunny hadn't pooped in 24hrs. I was able to take him in no problem and he was treated with such love and care. I am TOTALLY grateful they not only saw rabbits but also for the fact they are open 24HRS AND they treated him with such care.

Called ahead on a Saturday and asked about appointments but they said none was needed. Brought our family cat in and waited over 90 minutes to see the single vet on duty. Staff were often away from the front desk and didnt notice customers arriving at the locked front doors. Staff mix up animals, sound uninformed, and don't demonstrate the passion I see at many other vets.Recommend you find treatment elsewhere. They claim to be under new management but it doesn't seem like it changed for the better.
