General Info

White Oak Rod & Gun Club, Inc was organized in 1946 in the McKeesport area. We are a non-profit 501 C 7 corporation, and have several purposes: to foster good sportsmanship among all hunters and fishermen; to educate youth in conservation; to conserve and propagate wildlife in Pennsylvania; to cooperate with all other organizations that pursue a similar purpose; to educate and train citizens in the safe and efficient handling of firearms and generally encourage the lawful ownership and use of firearms by citizens as decreed in the 2nd amendment of the US Constitution. Having grown since the 22 acre property was purchased in 1959, our group of over 375 members now has facilities comprised of 65 acres and a club house with a meeting room, kitchen, and indoor 50 ft range, facilities for rifle, pistol and archery. They include four lighted trap ranges, one lighted registered skeet range, plus a 100 target clays course, a 30 target 3D archery range, a lighted 5 stand range, an outdoor rifle range with covered firing points for 50, 100 and 200 yard targets, a lighted outdoor pistol range with covered firing points for 15, 25 and 75 yard targets and a 50 meter small bore range. The outdoor rifle and pistol ranges open for members during daylight hours. There are activities most evenings, including indoor archery, sporting clays and 5 stand. We hold a game dinner in March. In cooperation with the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the National Rifle Association, the club has conducted hunter trapper education classes since 1961. White Oak Rod & Gun Club, Inc, is affiliated with the National Rifle Association, Civilian Marksmanship Program and the Pennsylvania Game Commission Hunter-Trapper Education Division. Meetings are held at the club house on the first Monday of each month at 7: 30 PM. For weekly event scheduling contact the 24-hour Activity Clubline at 724-863-9941.
