Nice staff, helpful and never short or ill tempered. I had a fret level and set up done. The job was good. I would have liked the action a little lower but it's definitely decent and I didn't specify so that's probably on me. The price was very good for fret work and done pretty quickly at that. Gear prices are pretty high especially on the new stuff. All in all I will definitely be back for repairs and luthier work and I wouldn't really mind paying a little extra money if it supports a local shop.

I feel bad posting this, but here goes.. Very nice store, great selection, friendly staff.. I am just so frustrated with the work I had done on my guitar.. forget buzz, the low string won't even sound on most of the frets. The neck pickup is so high that it gets scratched if I play the guitar.. and he scratched the pickup covers putting them in. Wiring was done wrong; the repairman literally didn't even understand how it worked when he did it. The nut and jack replacements were forgotten, after parts were supposedly ordered. Never put the straplocks on my strap as requested. I had to ask for the tone knob had to be readjusted because it was getting stuck on the body carve. The only thing that was really done right was the tuners. I like these guys, and I never write bad reviews, but I just don't get it. The price was very fair, and turnaround time was great.. but saving time and money doesn't really help when you have a guitar you can't play.

Great service and awesome products. This is not your average music store. Everything that you expect from Swissvale music and more. This is where all the major bands in the Pittsburgh area gets their gear. Not the cheapest as they deal in higher- end, better and more reliable equipment.
