Had lunch there today (4/14/09). The olive panini w/green salad was delicious. The blend of flavors created an excellent taste. The quiet simple atmosphere was perfect for enjoying a late lunch.Thanks for making this new person in town, feel like a local.
To be The Local in Irvington,Va. must be difficult at best .Doug and his crew do a very fine job at it.WiFi connected,a menu that is never disappointing,and coffees in all the usual forms.Daily N Y Times and weekly Local papers.All this in a nice clean Up-Scale shop on the main strip in town.What could be better?Foaming Coffees to 'give me a cup to go',and espresso.Cookies and Muffins out to tempt you.Sandwiches and wraps,beers and wines,and Milkshakes to die for.They seem to have it all.Add a front porch with umbrellas at sunny tables outdoors and you have the Idea.Something for everybody is what it takes in Irvington and they seem to cover it very well . My hats off to The Local.
