I never write reviews but I felt compelled to write one for Irvington Lock & Locksmith. And while I might just be adding on to the humongous pile of praises and appreciation they’ve already received, it’s only right to share my incredible experience with them.
I needed a spare key. I know that a local hardware shop could have helped me with it, but the only problem was, it was 10:30 pm and all the shops were shut. I had to leave town urgently the next morning and I needed a spare to hand out to my neighbor to let the maintenance workers in. Literally, every hour locksmith I called seemed to either deny service, or didn’t pick up my call – that is, every locksmith but Irvington Lock & Locksmith! Dave arrived in less than 15 minutes and being a complete pro, he handed out the copy key in minutes.
Tired of losing my keys over and over again, I decided to do something about it. All my neighbors had those tech-savvy electronic keypad locks installed, and I wanted one too. A trip down the hardware store and a $100 bill later, I finally thought this was going to put an end to my key-loss woes but I was wrong. Barely a week passed before I found myself staring at a dead lock that refused to let me in. My neighbor suggested that I ring up Irvington Lock & Locksmith for help, which I did.
Within 15 minutes, Joe arrived, took one look at the lock and dismissed it as a cheap imitation of a Schlage lock. I couldnt believe I had spent so much money on a worthless lock. Joe, however, put me at ease and promised to replace the lock with a genuine product. Its been 3 months, and the lock works flawlessly. I've used Irvington Lock & Locksmith twice now. Once to add a deadbolt to my front door and then yesterday to add a lock in a closet door. Both times he quoted me a price on the phone and stuck to it on site. No extra charges or attempts to add things. Both times there were issues with the instal (very old building) but he stuck to his quote and was quick, tidy and friendly. It seems like the city is filled with swindlers in the locksmith dept. Irvington Lock & Locksmith is for sure the exception. It's not cheap but i prefer to have an honest price up front than a lowball estimate that ends up much more because it was just a ploy to show up and add charges. You feel good about spending money with Irvington Lock & Locksmith , they do a great job fast and efficiently.

Irvington Lock & Locksmith was great. Tech was very friendly and courteous, while being professional and FAST! On the day of my appointment Shon had gotten "stuck" on an earlier job which would make him late for our appointment. Shon was was very mindful and reached out to me about an hour prior to our appointment to let me know he was running late and we then rescheduled for later that evening. I truly appreciated this as it allowed me to do other things than just sit around and wait all day for him. When Shon did arrive later that evening he again apologized for the delay and got straight to work. He drilled a new hole in our door and installed a new deadbolt for me in what I would consider a blink of an eye. He was in and out in just about 25 minutes. He even asked for a dust pan and broom to clean up after the job. I would highly recommend Irvington Lock & Locksmith and Shon to anyone needing locksmith services.
