General Info
Originally hailing from New York City, magic was passed down Steve's family for three generations -- starting with his Uncle Harry, who owned a magic shop in Manhattan -- to his father, who worked in Harry's magic shop as a teenager -- and finally to Steve. Since the age of five, Steve has been performing magic wherever and whenever he can get someone to "pick a card, any card at all". As a teenager, Steve became Vice President of the IMPS -- the Independent Magical Performers Society -- a group of budding young magicians whose development was overseen and encouraged by the Society of American Magician's Parent Assembly #1 of New York, originally started by Harry Houdini.   During those formative years, Steve performed regularly at schools, country clubs, night clubs, online at movie theaters, and on the street, outside the Childrens Zoo at New York's Central Park. Audiences applauded as he bedazzled them with his sharp wit and feats of magic, juggling and even fire-eating. After relocating and settling down in Tulsa, OK in 1993, Steve joined the SAM (Society of American Magicians) and IBM (International Brotherhood of Magicians) and became a popular magic author, columnist, publisher and inventor of many of his own unique tricks. Today, Steve performs at public and private venues throughout Oklahoma, and is a featured performer at the celebrated and historic Spotlight Theater -- home to the oldest running play and vaudeville show in America -- "The Drunkard and The Olio".
