Had a surgery here and had to stay overnight. Based on previous reviews, I was terrified. But I'll have you know, this experience was MAGNIFICENT for me. VIP treatment from the Concierge to the private room. For starters the place is immaculate. This is not a regular hospital. I didnt wait longer than 10mins to do anything. I checked in with the Concierge at 0545, registration, and was in the pre-op room by 0600. The pre-op personnel were perfection (except for one). Wonderful bedside manner for all of them (except for one). There was an overseer of some type keeping everybody on schedule for the 0730 start time. some kind of staff manager. I mean this was a well-oiled machine. I met the anesthesiologist and she was really nice. My surgeon met with me Dr Thomason. We didnt have much to discuss because he's so good at explaining everything in advance, I didnt have any additional questions. My room was private, great cable tv flatscreens, huge like a king size marriott room with several seating areas and a sleeping chair inside one of them. The food was excellent. You get to pick what you wanna eat. My day nurse Marilyn was an angel. Young girl. Very sweet and kind. I never waiting longer than 10 mins for anyone to respond to my calls. housekeeping cleaned the room twice while i was in it. Private shower with towel service and soap. It really is like a hotel with 5-star treatment. I cant say enough great things about the treatment I received here. I know I'll be back here if I ever need surgery again. Plus, I live a few blocks over in Las Colinas so it was convenient. Wonderful staff and experience if you have to have surgery.

The billing practices if this hospital are unethical. I learned this 13 years ago, but why I didn't learn my lesson- I don't know- I delivered my son at this hospital in 2005, and they entered some coding incorrectly, which caused me to have an extremely High bill.I called the billing/accounting department countless times and the first two times I was on the phone for an extremely long time and both Reps informed me that the coding was entered incorrectly- They told me this- I didn't ask- I took their names and when I called back a while later, because I got a bill from a collections agency- I was Rudely told by another Rep that they do not know who I spoke to in the past, but the information was incorrect, I therefore told them where they can put their bill- anyway, I recently went to their imaging dept for a mammogram and had a biopsy procedure and they billed me and I discovered that they billed me for the bill from 2005- I contacted the BBB, FTC, and the Attorney General of Texas to report them. I am not done, this is unethical and I refuse to sit back and let them do something like this, because if they did it to me- there is no telling who else they will do it to. I am not real concerned about the $237.00 dollars, I am concerned about their practices.

(The only reason I give them 1 star is because I was forced to enter something)

Hidden Gem!

What a great facility this is. I have had several day surgeries at LCMC and things could not have been better. The staff is caring and looks at you as a person and not just another patient. The facility is easy to get to and easy to find your way around it. We also had our child at LCMC. That experience was great as well. The nurses really helped us understand what was happening with our child at all times.
