Personalcare Physicians was founded by fitness company executive, Troy Medley, and concierge physicians, Jeff Barke and Kenneth Cheng, with the goal of delivering the highest quality healthcare to the public. Medley believed that everyone should have access to the same high quality care he received from Drs. Barke and Cheng, and that by adding a team of fitness and nutrition experts to the concierge service mix, a “best in class” of preventative healthcare could be created. Personalcare Physicians enables exceptional physicians to spend more time focusing on delivery of the highest quality care to patients who value their health. Personalcare Physicians’ members pay an annual fee to their physicians in exchange for same- or next-day appointments, 24x7 access to their physician via cell phone and email, unhurried exams and consultations, and a customized, proactive wellness program. The annual fees enable Personalcare Physicians affiliated doctors to reduce their patient load to no more than 350 member patients, as opposed to the typical 2,500 of a non-concierge physician. As a result, they are able to allocate the appropriate attention to each patient in order to optimize their members’ health; they can spend more quality time with each patient and run preventative tests aimed at catching potential issues before they become problems. Personalcare Physicians manages many of the onerous marketing, regulatory, and business functions for its affiliated physicians, enabling them to do what they do best: Deliver the highest quality care and service to their patients.
