Founded in 1919, OWL Companies is located in Irvine, Calif. The company evolved from the construction industry in the early 1900s, to the acquisitions of naval defense contracts in the 1950s. It comprises of a variety of service companies presently, which include the joint venture GPC and an emergency ship salvage company Career Systems Development (CSD) providing education and vocational training to disadvantaged youth. The company also owns Tecolete, a real estate, development and acquisition company. The Owl Companies offer its clients a range of capabilities in the field of real estate holdings, emergency rescue and recovery, as well as energy efficient alternatives.
