About ASC Autism Spectrum Consultants, Inc is a non-public agency, certified by the California Department of Education to provide program design and implementation of behavioral programs. Jessica Postil is a renowned Behaviorist who founded Autism Spectrum Consultants, Inc ( ASC ) in June of 1998. ASC is certified by the California State Board of Education to provide Behavioral Intervention Development ( BID ) and Behavioral Intervention Implementation. Dr. Postil is certified to provide emergency behavioral interventions with children exhibiting severe behavior problems. Dr. Postil obtained her BA in Psychology from the University of Southern California where she worked with schizophrenic adults and adolescents. She received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University graduating with Psi Chi honors. In September 2008 Dr. Postil earned her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Health Psychology from APA accredited university, Loma Linda University. As a part of Dr. Postil's dissertation, she wrote the first manualized therapy program for treating executive dysfunction in high functioning individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Postil has been working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders since 1993 as a behavioral therapist, senior therapist, workshop supervisor, clinical supervisor and clinical director. Dr. Postil has presented at national and international conferences as a key-note speaker for a variety of organizations from non-profit organizations to international conferences. She has also presented workshops and in-services for both private and non-profit organizations around the world. Dr. Postil is a member of several organizations including the Association for Behavior Analysis International, National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, American Psychological Association ( APA ), Society of Pediatric Psychology, American Group Psychotherapy Association ( AGPA ), and California Association of Professional Psychologists ( CAPP ). San Diego County Dr. Holman received her BA in Psychology from UCLA, where she worked with Dr. Ivar Lovaas for the Young Autism Project from 1991-1993. Dr. Holman is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She received her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from USC in 2003 where her research in the area of reading comprehension and autism won her a dissertation of merit award ; it also gave her the opportunity to give the the key-note address at the graduation ceremony. Before joining ASC as the San Diego owner and Clinical Director in 1999, Dr. Holman has worked in the field of behavioral therapy as a Senior therapist and Clinical Supervisor since 1991, first at UCLA, then at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders for 8 years. Dr. Holman has presented both nationally and internationally for a variety of institutions such as the Autism Society of America's annual convention, the California-Association of Behavior Analysts and the International Association of Behavior Analysts. She has presented workshops and in-services for both private and non-profit organizations around the world. Dr. Holman has mentored and supervised a number of individuals over the years who have pursued graduate work, obtained their own licensure and have become fellow ABA providers. Dr. Holman has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego chapter of the Autism Society of America since 2004. She has held a variety of roles within that organization including being the co-editor of the newsletter Autism Action and the Conference Co-Chair for 2006 and 2007. After graduating with her Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University in 1999, Cindy Underwood began working with children with autism.
