Blomquist Architects is a full service architecture, planning, and interior design firm. Our comprehensive range of design capabilities permits our firm to tailor our services to respond to specific design requirements and the specialized needs of the project scope. Design is the core of the firm's philosophy. A good design team is created by organizing representatives of each discipline to work closely with you, our client, in addressing your specific needs. A successful design is one that projects the desired image and serves the people who use it with attention to both budget and schedule. Our firm's principal maintains direct personal involvement and assumes ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction. James Blomquist has been practicing architecture from offices in Iron Mountain, Michigan since 1961, first for Nelson and Associates, then Blomquist, Nelson and Associates and currently Blomquist and Associates Architects. Mark Blomquist joined the firm in 1981. The firm is in the general practice of architecture and has a project experience that is quite diverse. In response to this, we have developed an experienced core in-house group and collaborate with good partners to increase our capabilities and provide quality service on large, special projects that we normally couldn't serve alone. Blomquist Architects provides full architecture services, interior design/space planning, construction management, residential design, land planning services for new and renovated facilities. We are a small, approachable group of Architects and designers. Our dedicated staff of 5 remains committed to a total team approach to all projects and clients, resulting in architecture that enhances lives and communities.
