It organizes various contests and promotional events. Meijer employs more than 65,000 people. It offers gift cards, online store updates, event management assistance, and health care information and pharmacy services. Meijer sponsors community-based student events, such as reading, athletic events, helping senior citizens, beautifying parks and mentoring kindergartners. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., it has one of its stores located in Ionia, Mich.
