The Dairy Barn Bed and Breakfast
General Info
When Don & Gerrie Etter retired from dairy farming, they realized the cows had always had the best view in the county. They converted their old barn into a bed and breakfast, naming each of the eight guest rooms after their favorite dairy cows. Check in at the front desk in the old Milk Room, relax on the Cow Yard patio, eat a farm fresh meals prepared the way Grandma used make them, play with Alfie the farm dog or the outdoor barn cats, chase fireflies or enjoy a summer bonfire, and sleep in the old Hayloft. Each room at The Dairy Barn has it's own private bathroom and great country view. Two bedrooms are handicap accessible on the first floor where the baby calves used to sleep. All six of the Hayloft bedrooms have comfy pillowtop queen size beds. The rooms don't have televisions, but you are welcome to use the one in the common area if you have a hankering to watch Old Yeller. We still like to tinker about the farm. If you are lucky you can see Don riding around on one of his vintage Allis Chalmers tractors or help Gerrie and Alfie the farm dog gather eggs from the chicken coop. We welcome couples, families, old farmers, hunters, and small groups. With a huge farm yard and large common room on each floor, we're a great place to hold family reunions and small retreats. When Don & Gerrie Etter retired from dairy farming, they realized the cows had always had the best view in the county.
