Stay away from this company for sure!! As many reviews note that they have experienced a driver of this company (also known as Continental Limousine, Cols, Inc., and who knows how many other names) operating their vehicles recklessly, I have been struck and injured by one of their vans just this summer…as a pedestrian!

Right after dropping off some passengers at a hotel just a few miles from LAX, the 1800FLY1800 driver carelessly blasted through a red light, making a right turn, and hit me while I was in the crosswalk, legally crossing on a green light and walk signal.

Luckily, he did not run me clean over, but the impact was so severe that it ripped the side view mirror right of the large passenger van. When the police came to file the collision report, they asked the driver for an address and he told them he did not have one…and that he lived in a van.

By no means am I trying to shame a homeless person who must live in a van, but it certainly would beg the question whether or not the driver had adequate and acceptable rest prior to driving thousands of people around a city with the most notorious traffic in the country. Clearly ColsInc., Continental Limousine, or 1800FLY1800 don’t seem to care.

To add insult to injury (literally) the person who answered the phone at their office treated me like I was the offender, swore, and hung up on me. After that I was called repeatedly by Philadelphia Insurance representative John Espinoza. I knew they were not calling for my benefit, or because they cared about my health, and after letting him know I did not wish to speak with Philadelphia Insurance I continued to get unwanted calls from Philadelphia Insurance representative Connie Parmer, which I considered harassing…as I asked them to cease contact.

Any of the details of the collision are available to the public via Redondo Beach Police Department, Police Report #18-3396.

Pictures attached. Clearly the driver wearing a 1800FLY1800 shirt.
