I have been going to Za Za's for over 5 years. Bob the owner and Samantha his daughter are always fun to visit. They are both consummate host's. Samantha is probably one of the finest bartenders I have ever seen, she obviously has had good tutelage. The food is amongst the finest you will have anywhere in the Chicago Metro Area. The plate is generous and the drinks are large. Also there is entertainment while you dine. Oh, do you like schrimp~? Their Schrimp is the largest I have ever seen, you will be hard put to finish your order. The clientel range in age from 40 to 70 and everybody always dresses in business casual. Go once and you will be back, it is that good.

As it says in their advertisement, this place is definitely lake county's "best kept secret," it is a bit hidden, so you may need to call for directions if you aren't familiar with the area. This place doesn't let you leave hungry, not only is the food phenomenal but the portions are generously sized and come with soup AND salad which I have never seen at a restaurant, usually it's either one or the other. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly and accomodating. I reccomend this place to anyone!

Our family went out on a Thursday night to celebrate getting a job, little did we know we would need it for this small restaurant that started as a house, which has fair food, but is starting to become too pricey ! My family ordered 5 meals (2 salmon, 3 pasta), 2 brushetta appetizers (only comes with 4 pieces so we needed to order two), and soft-drinks, and we wound up with a $150 bill with tip. My meal (manicotti) tasted burnt. This is NOT your typical casual local Italian restaurant (at least that is not what they are charging based upon).. They charged us for every soft-drink (we all thought they included refills on pop, especially the way the waitress kept pushing more), so we had $20 in fountain drinks. Their food is fair, the atmosphere is old, and needs a makeover, and they desperately need an electrician to fix the constantly dimming lights, but most importantly, they need to get back to reality ! They have become too pricey to be a family restaurant.
