Founded in 1972, Stonybrook Middle School offers classes in language arts, social studies, mathematics, English, science, and health and physical education. The school serves students in grades six through eight. Its curriculum also includes computers, orchestra and industrial technology. Stonybrook Middle School provides various athletic activities, such as basketball and wrestling. The school has a library that has more than 13,000 books, magazines and reference materials. Its parent-teacher-student association organizes bookfairs and fundraising events. Stonybrook Middle School additionally offers the English as a New Language program. The school's campus features an elevator for physically challenged students, as well as includes a playground, cafeteria and computer labs. It is governed by the Metropolitan School District of Warren Township.
