Southport Middle School offers education to more than 1,500 students in grades seven through eight. It is affiliated with Metropolitan School District of Perry Township and offers a curriculum that includes English literature, arts, science, mathematics, foreign languages, social studies, computers and physical education. The school offers various extracurricular activities to students, such as National Junior Honor Society, yearbook, literary magazine, chorus, band and school newspaper. The sports activities offered by the school include soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, track and field, softball and baseball. It also has a student council and offers various clubs, including drama, science, service and technology. The school also conducts various events and programs, including book fairs, mathematics and science Olympiads and brain busters. Southport Middle School is located in Indianapolis.
