The J. Everett Light Career Center is a technical and vocational education institution that offers a variety of courses for youths and adults. It enables students to gain industry-recognized credentials and certifications while pursuing high school credits. The center s facilities are spread over an area of more than 150,000 square feet, as well as include classrooms, laboratories, offices and instructional resource facilities. It also features an auditorium, onsite banking center, ATM and media facility with over 600 computers. The J. Everett Light Career Center provides professional guidance counseling services, as well as assistance with employment seeking after the completion of training. It also offers internship programs in the areas of video production, radio broadcasting, and Web management. Additionally, the center offers a nursing program that is accredited by the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
