I doubt Edward Jones will allow this factual review to remain. Nate is a likable guy. He knocked on my door at the 3900 block of Kostner Street with a plan. As we were in the process of selling our home of over 15 years in the Old Irving neighborhood, I was interested in what an investor had to offer. Almost all of our savings and equity were in the home. After 15+ years of major improvements and extra principal payments on our mortgage, we were planning a move. The sale proceeded, we were left with over $350,000 to purchase another home. We trusted Nate with the amount, hoping for a modest 5% increase. It took almost one year to locate a replacement home. The $350 became $325. At the end of the year, we had to pay the IRS $1500 for "dividends" which were actual re-investments (losses) within the acct. 2 years later the IRS stated we owed more when each of the EJ re-investments occurred. Overall, the acct lost over 8%. Please investigate your investment options. Experience matters.
