A native English speaker born and raised in the United States, I learned Spanish through a combination of self-study, travel, and formal university education. I have been rated at a Spanish proficiency level of Advanced High by the U.S. government. Familiarity with a wide range of Spanish accents and vocabulary (I've lived in Mexico, Central, and South America) allow me to tackle a wide range of linguistic projects, although I specialize in legal, medical, and business translation and interpretation. Recent work includes translation of documents for the United Nations Development Programme, clinical drug trials for a major pharmaceutical company, legal documents, medical and legal interpretation, and transcription and translation of medical interviews and public health focus groups.
