Love this place usually go there on valentine's day. Awesome food great service.

I went there, years back, for an anniversary.



The food was cold ...

The server was on vacation ...



I had 11 people there and spent over $400.00



What does it take to find someone to pay attention to a large table?



I tipped THAT server ....... ONE PENNY.



I also spoke with the "manager" and he told me ... "When we are busy .... you get what you get".



I told him ... "That's OK ... we haven't been here in 15 years .... you won't miss our money.



His response?



"... Not nice ..."

My girlfriend got me hooked on the place. The first thing I look for in a restaurant is a friendly wait staff. Bynum's, in my opinion, is exceptional in this regard. Jeffrey is my usual waiter, but the others are outstanding as well. I am a soup and sandwich kind of guy and my girlfriend LOVES their prime rib! I highly recommend their bleu cheese burger (actually any burger on the lunch menu) and any of their soups. The atmosphere is wonderful and usually quiet. They have become a regular stop for me whenever I am in Indianapolis.

Being from Texas it has not been easy finding a steakhouse that is not a chain restaurant that can compare to your finer steakhouse from home. This one does the Job!

The prime rib is unbelievable i don't know anyone who could eat the whole thing! 32 OZ! The lobster tails are huge too. Steaks are unbelievable! Good prices considering you get French Onion soup, & salad & bread INCLUDED with your gigantic entree. The prime rib you can share it is so huge. It is one of my most favorite places to eat. I also like the fact it is a privately owned LOCAL restaurant and not a chain. I always try to support our own local Indianapolis businesses when I can!

Second only to St. Elmo's as far my favorite steakhouse. .... Lots of great steak at fair prices. ..... Friendly staff and a clean facility. ... Don't let the tacky plastic cows out front fool you!!!

1st visit staff was very abrupt and rude. Took a long time to take our order and a ling time to get it. Food not cooked the way we ordered. Never offered refill on our drinks. Returned one year later hoping it got better. I ordered fish and after waiting over 30 minutes for it, it wasn't even cooked. The server asked if I wanted it sent back and told her no, biting into the uncooked fish turned my stomach and I lost my taste for it. Never offered anything in it's place but she took a whopping $2 off our order. My husband's steak wasn't real tasty either. I'm not sure what the draw here is there are much better steak places in this city. I have noticed less cars there than there use to be. Bad Bad Bad!

The atmosphere was exceptional. The personnel waiting tables were personable and courteous. The orders were delivered correctly and were of very high quality. I would recommend this steak house to anyone. The price was reasonable for what was received.
