Founded in 1915, Specialty Tires of America is a fully integrated manufacturer and distributor of radial and bias-ply pneumatic tires for use on several vehicles, such as aircrafts, race cars, loaders, graders, farm equipment, industrial handling equipment, and mining and military vehicles. Located in Indiana, Pa., the company employs more than 600 people. It also provides bumper cars, flaps, calendaring fabrics, rubber hems, steel beads and gum stocks. Additionally, Specialty Tires of America partners with several companies on custom manufacturing projects for tires. The company also operates a manufacturing facility in Unicoi, Tenn., which provides classic and performance tires for private brand accounts.
