Patricia is a skilled and experienced mediator in private practice who has been providing family law mediation services in Eastern Jackson County for twenty years. Patricia is a Jackson County Family Court Approved Child Custody Mediator and has been on the Panel since 2001. Patricia is also a mediator with the M.A.R.C.H. (Mediation Achieving Results for Children) Mediation Program and has been a mediator with M.A.R.C.H. since 2002. Patricia believes mediation can help people find solutions that work for them and their family. Her mediation practice focuses on family law issues, including: Divorce Mediation - Patricia works with divorcing couples in mediation to reach agreements to divide their property and debts, resolve support issues, and create parenting plans that work for them and their children. Custody/Parenting Plan Modification Mediation – Patricia works with parents in mediation who want to make changes to their existing custody, parenting arrangements, and/or support of their children. Paternity Custody/Parenting Plan Mediation – Patricia works with never-married parents in mediation who want to create or change arrangements regarding the custody, parenting arrangements, and/or support of their children. Clarification of Existing Parenting Plan – Patricia works with parents in mediation who want to resolve on-going issues or conflicts regarding their existing parenting plan. Mediation is a process where a neutral Mediator assists parties involved in a conflict in trying to reach a mutually agreeable resolution that works for everyone. Mediation provides the parties the opportunity to sit down with the mediator and to talk through their issues and concerns in a constructive manner. The Mediator remains neutral and does not take sides or make decisions for the parties, but rather she assists the parties in discussing their issues and seeking a resolution that works for them.
