My family dined at Corner Cafe on June 3rd for my mom's birthday. Karen was our waitress and she was awesome! She was very sweet and caring. Our food was delicious and we had a great evening. Thanks for great service Karen!

A fine family restaurant. Our server, Julie Rule, made the dining experience very worthwhile. She was excellent! Thank you Corner Cafe

The First two or three times went in there had lousy service.;then the last 4-5 times has been good. Today my father and I went and I have to say I was angry when I left. My dad wanted more coffee our server was no where in sight and the server he asked just gave him a dirty look when over to computer and put in order (did not say a word to my dad) then 2 other servers joined her and she never mentioned coffee to them ; my dad got one of the other servers atteniton and she got coffee for him. Our server was good did not listen real well was pretty good.

Just moved to the KC area and searched for a restaurant and found Corner Cafe. Me and my husband tried it for the first time about a week ago and were pleasantly pleased! We went in on a Friday night and had to wait a short time for a table. Decor is great, we were taken to a room with a real silo. Our waitress recommended the chicken fried steak and I must say its the best I have had. Really wanted to try the pie but was way too stuffed after our meals! Waitress recommended we come back and try the homemade biscuits and gravy. I can't wait to go back .. hopefully we get the same waitress! She was great!

Well one thing I can say over all its a good place.I believe bye what I have heard they hire new people every week and they don't really treat there workers very well. There pay is the lowest in town in this catagory of resturaunt.so for people always in training the food is good but I believe it could be better with alittle more attention to the employee's and maybe alittle better wait staff there's some that are great and there's some that you can tell just doesn't want to be there and as far as clean the place is well kept up dishes are always up to par and the bathrooms are one of the cleaness around i hope they can get better abd stick around.

I noticed there hasn't been a review for awhile. We love this place. Breakfast is super and all of their featured items they recommend are the best. Don't go to a down home cooking place and get salad-get what they specialize in. That would be like trying to get steak at Long John Silvers. People make this mistake all the time and them dump on the restaraunte. Try it again and go for the good stuff!

Great food! Things have gotten so much better then when it first opened. We had great service and it was quiet. They aren't as busy during the weekdays in the morning, so your meal comes out right away. If you haven't tried it, you must! You will be happy you did!

Worse salad I have had - had Buffalo Chicken Salad which had more bleu cheese than chicken or lettuce. Waitress did not ask if we needed any crackers or bread with the salad. We were seated in the back room where the person next to you could not be heard so little conversation unless we shouted. Tables were being prepared for a large party and the chairs were continuously scrapped across the floor time after time by the staff. Such an annoying sound. When asked to please not do that, the waitresses mocked us and intentionally still moved a chair to prove a point. A manager was with the waitresses when the chairs were moved and did not bother to issue an apology. Another party in the same area actually moved their party to different location in the restaurant it was so bad. Our group was going to have dessert but passed as we wanted out of their as quickly as possible. Extremely bad experience it will be a very long time before I will eat there again.

Not what I expected with the all the hype about the place. Food was only fair in quality and poor in quantity. Two in our group that ordered chicken looked and their plate when they got it and said, "is this it?" Tried one of their rolls, was very dry, like it had been sitting out all day. Ate less than half of it, threw the rest away. Wont be going back anytime soon.

We visited the Coner Cafe recently and has the best service we have ever had. The food was great and the whole experience was wonderful. Our server was Vera and she went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. We know that we will be going back. Try the Ruben, it is wonderful!!

Wow! I have to say we had the worst dining experience of my life at the Corner Cafe. We arrived at 4:15pm and were seated by 4:30pm. We placed our orders promptly and the waitress came back at 5pm and told us there was a problem with the order that was sent to the kitchen - they didn't have it! We again placed our orders. We finally received our food at 5:30pm. It was cold, bland and overcooked! We asked to speak with the manager, but the manager was not willing to come to our table and one of our party had to go get him. When the manager came over and we began explaining the problems we had experienced, he basically called us LIARS! He stated our ticket said 5:05pm when it was entered. Remember, that would have been the time our order was entered a SECOND time. I couldn't believe it! Not one time did the manager apologize!Definitely over-rated and not worth the wait time!
