Located in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Bonneville County Jail houses intimates who have been punished for a variety of crimes. The jail offers a work detail program that features the construction of zoos and school playgrounds by the intimates. It is operated by the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, which is a department governed by the government of Bonneville County, Idaho. The county also operates elections, permits, property appraisal, tax and exemptions, budget and finance, and courts and justice system department. Its human resources department offers employment to over 250 people in a variety of occupations including bookkeeping, clerical, waste management, law enforcement and road maintenance.
