Operational since 1947, Hutchinson Recreation Commission maintains parks and recreational facilities. It conducts several outdoor educational programs for school children. The commission maintains a gift shop that offers a variety of fun items. It additionally organizes a range of adventurous activities, such as fishing and hunting. The commission also manages a tennis complex Hutchinson Recreation Commission operates the Dillon Nature Center, which provides space for staff retreats, seminars, business meetings, family reunions, Christmas parties, wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners.
