It is a subsidiary of Ashland, and the company has more than a century of experience in the construction industry. It is also a provider of construction-related materials. Ashland is a diversified chemical company with holdings in transportation construction. The parent firm is a Fortune 500 company with sales and operations throughout the United States and more than 100 countries throughout the world. APAC internally produces aggregates and hot-mixed asphalt materials. APAC ended 2005 with revenues of approximately $2.5 billion and an operating income close to $48 million. APAC is headquartered in Atlanta with offices throughout the Southeastern and Midwest regions of the U.S., including Huntsville, Ala.
