One star rating is way to high for their customer service and product repair time. Purchased a LG refrigerator on April 22nd 2015 all was good until August 9th 2017. The compressor on the refrigerator failed and no compressor was available to repair our unit until the September 13th 2017. Less than 30 days later the new compressor has failed and LG only honors food loss once. Which I find laughable. What are you to do not buy groceries and stock your fridge and freezer to feed your family. I would never purchase another Item made by LG they have the worst customer service they ship your calls over seas and the only way to speak to a person in the states you must ask for a supervisor. The American supervisor has a supervisor that does not take phone calls. You must write to the office of the President. A billion dollar company and they aren't able to help there customers when its there product that is defective. 10 year warranty on the compressor and that does no good when no compressors are available for a repair.
i.e., AMy husband and I bought an LG 55" tv last November 18th. We chose that particular tv because it came with a years subscription to Netflix, and because we had family coming for Christmas, and we wanted to try out the 3d and other features that we normally would not have access to, while they were here. We were not given any information as to how to access that promotion, or told that it would expire before we got the tv. My husband, son and I all called many times in the weeks following trying to get information about how to activate the promotion. No one we talked to seemed to know anything about it except that you had to access a link to get to it. I recieved the link 6 times from different people in customer service but no one seemed to know that it had expired and would not be available for any reason ever. One time someone even helped us register the tv telling us that the problem was that it wasn't registered and that now we would be able to get the promotion.
Terrible customer service. Ship them something to fix, no response. Called them, could not find it. Finally found it and said they were waiting on payment to fix. I guess I should have read their mind and just sent a check. Now they are fixing it. A month later, a ton of aggrevation, and maybe I will get my product back. They have lost a loyal customer.
