The organization offers programs related to character and leadership, education and career and specialized initiatives. Boys & Girls Clubs of America also provides programs in visual and performing arts, health and life skills, sports, fitness and recreation. Its health and life skills programs include the Cavity-Free Zone, Healthy Habits, NetSmartz, SMART Moves, SMART Girls and Passport to Manhood. The organization has more than 4,300 club locations throughout the United States, as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Established in 1860, Boys & Girls Clubs of America maintains a staff of over 50,000 trained professionals. The organization maintains one of its locations in Huntington, W.Va.
