ABOUT US: Atomic Tae Kwon Do and Maestri di Musica Arts Center specializes in two programs: Music Lesson and Martial Arts: Tae Kwon Do and Juijitsu. Music Program: Instrumental and Voice Lessons (Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Guitar) Programs are offered for any age starting 3.5 years old through adults and all levels from beginning to very advanced. Our music students perform regular recitals in the community and at our own Recital Hall, are very successful at NYSSMA as well as winners of competitions and auditions to schools such as: Juilliard, Curtis Institute, Oberlin and Cleveland to name a few. Music Instructors are highly qualified with Doctorate in Music and Special Education Degrees also University Professors experienced extremely experienced in teaching. Martial Arts: Martial Arts classes are taught by Master in both arts and Occupational Therapist from profession, as well as other 3 Black Belt Instructors experienced in special needs and autistic children. Our program received numerous awards for integrating Occupational Therapy into Martial Arts and Music such as: International “Hall of Fame” Award, Best School at 2012 Governor’s Cup Championship, Best School at 2013 NY State Tae Kwon Do Championship. On top of regular classes we offer Music and Martial Arts based Afterschool Program with Van Pick-up and Summer Camp, which explores Martial Arts, Music, Dance, and various Museums on LI.

Serving the community for almost 10 years, the school received numerous awards: *International "Hall of Fame" Award for integrating Occupational Therapy into Martial Arts training, *2012 Best School Award at Governor's Cup Tournament in NY, *2013 Best School Award at NY State Tae Kwon Do Championship *Nomination for "Best of Long Island, 2014" in Martial Arts.

PROGRAM DIRECTORS: Classes are taught by Master Bart Pontecorvo and Dr. Luiza Raab-Pontecorvo, double Black Belts in TKD and Jiu-Jitsu and both certified in SKILLZ Program. Dr. Luiza, 3rd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and 2nd degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu, also holds a Doctorate Degree in musical arts. On top of instructing Martial Arts for the past 13 years, she has also been teaching at Stony Brook, Hofstra and Adelphi Universities and touring internationally giving Lectures and Concerts. She is an author of essays and articles dealing with subjects such as: Affect of music on development of human brain; Utilizing Philosophy of Martial Arts in everyday life, etc… Her essay about the influence of Tae Kwon Do on her own life won the 2009 Participation Award at Tae Kwon Do Essay Contest organized by the Korean Embassy in the United States, and was published in both Korean and English languages. Master Bart, 4th degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and 2nd degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jitsu. In 2013 was elected a Vice-President of NY State Tae Kwon Do Federation. Master Bart has 43 years of experience in Martial Arts as well as 28 years of experience in geriatrics and 8 years in early intervention working as a Licensed Occupational Therapist. Inducted to National "Metropolitan Who's Who in America for his unique approach and success on the field, has been featured on national TV in numerous Martial Arts programs and Seminars.
