Owen s Market is a chain of grocery stores located in northern Indiana. It operates five stores and is a division of Kroger, which is one of the nation s largest grocery retailers, headquartered in Cincinnati. The company operates more than 2,000 supermarkets and multidepartment stores in over 30 states under nearly 25 banners, including Kroger, Fred Meyer, Ralphs, Smith s, King Soopers, Dillon, Fry s, City Market, Food 4 Less, Quality Food Centers and Gerbes. With approximately 300,000 employees, Kroger also operates more than 750 convenience stores, over 350 jewelry stores, nearly 60 supermarket fuel centers and about 40 food processing plants. Owen s Market maintains a presence in Huntington, Ind.
