My cute little Shih Tzu had a terrible cut here. Ive been taking her here for three years. I think the staff has changed quite a bit over time. They keep a card on file with your preferences. Hers is a Shih Tzu summer cut short on the body and feet, trim the face, leave the tail and ears long. The hair on her ears was about 3-4 inches. When I went to pick her up, they rang me up then brought her to me. Her body and feet were the normal cut, they didn't touch her tail, and her ears are now about of an inch. Shes still my cute little Shih Tzu, but her hair cut looks awful Shih Tzus have pretty small ears, so it looks a little...different. I spoke with the owner and he offered me a 10% refund, because, they did do the work, they just read the card for the wrong dog. It will take at least a year for the hair on her ears to grow back to a normal length. Its been two months, and they dont look much different yet. I argued that it would take months, the cut is awful, and anyone experienced in cutting a Shih Tzus hair would know that wasnt normal and at least question it. If they were giving her, her regular cut, wouldnt her ears be short already? I explained that I felt like 10% is a little ridiculous, and was told they only give refunds if they injure the pet. That answer gives me little confidence...if they injure your pet, they wont make you pay for the groom?!?!?! Needless to say I wouldnt recommend them and would never take my pet back. My vet has suggested vitamins to get her hair to grow back; Ill see how that goes.
