I bought 3ribeye stks they were not rib eye they were flat iron stk they were terrible the meat cutter was rude my first time there a.and last 3small stks $20.00for mothers day I'll go to Publix

The owners are surly and the beef is mostly Select grade with only some being Choice grade as it is in Publix. Filets are tough. I wasn't impressed.

went in to buy a brisket, 13 lb and said I wanted a whole untrimmed brisket as I have a smoker and have smoked many brisket before. I came home seasoned it and smoked it for 18 hours and when I brought it in I noticed all the fat was not melted. So I cooked a little longer and took it out and the fat was still there. When I cut into it the FAT was all through the meat and it was like white jelly substance nothing that I have ever seen before on a brisket. I was embarrassed as this was my easter dinner for my family. I tried to cut around the fat and serve it to my family and it was a disaster, So I put it back in the pan and took it back to the store and the whole family gathered around it and was talking treating me as I was a criminal and said you over cooked it , which was not the case I was trying to melt the fat but in truth it wasn't fat it looked to be some sort of a tumor in the meat and had a funny taste. They gave me a real hard time I spent $67 on this piece of crap meat and all they would give me back is $17 store credit ARE YOU KIDDING ME? on top of making me feel like a fool. I will NEVER shop there Again their meat is INFERIOR and BEWARE what you are buying from then their meat is from mars.

I went up last week to buy a chuck roast and asked to have it cut in half lengthwise because that is how I like to grill it.. The guy behind the counter had to ask the manager if it was ok and had an attitude. Then the manager came out and said it would just fall apart. I explained that is the way I wanted it cut regardless, and HE had an attitude and again said it would fall apart , but did fulfill my request, all the time having a huffy attitude. Needless to say, it did not fall apart. Then I go up today to purchase a package plan. Half the meat was frozen (which was not specified) so I explained I wanted all fresh. The clerk said quite condescendingly that " SEE, It states it right here!! " while shaking the plan printout at me like I was an idiot. All it says on the website is "freezer plans "which does not necessarily mean the meat comes frozen. If that is the case, then why was half of the order fresh??? You can purchase all fresh and freeze all or some at your leisure, correct? The point of going to the butcher is to get fresh meat. I suggested to the manager they should specify on their website the meat may or may not be frozen. Without any recollection of my previous encounter, the same manager had an even bigger attitude. As previously stated in many other reviews, these New Yawker people have a very harsh way of dealing with customers, very cocky like they are the only game in town. They will NEVER get any more of my business!! The manager is the true idiot!!!! My friend used to work there and saw them drop a whole tray of ground chuck on the floor and they just put it in the meat case!!!! Their prices are not any cheaper than Publix anyway. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Best meats in town! Easy to call in a meat order. Recommends new items. Delicious!!! Very economical for the best product!
