I have a 2004 BMW 530i that has close to 200K miles. The transmission went on it and was stuck in 3rd gear. I was a little hesitant about using an independent repair facility as opposed to a BMW dealership for this major repair because my car has an I-Drive system and even simple things like brake changes, the indies could not reset the I-Drive and things like that for something simple like an oil change or brake change.



I have to say that I am impressed with the service that I received. I dealt with the owner every time I called. He gave me honest information about my car and did not try to sell me additional services. BMW was slow delivering the new transmission but they had my old tranny out and ready for the new one. Within 24 hours of delivery of the new (rebuilt) tranny they had it installed and the owner personally test drove it for 30+ miles to ensure everything was working as it was supposed to. Impressive. You will not get that from AAmco.



Not only did they fix my tranny, They were also able to reset all of my I-Drive warnings that no one else could, such as oil service due, inspection due, brake service due and a few more.



My advice is if you have a luxury import, give these guys a try. Their labor rate/hour is less then the dealer and they do excellent service.



My service was at the major end. Trannys are not like a wiper blade replacement or tune up. They did a great job for me and they can handle the computer resets that other indies can not.
