Hutchings Elementary serves more than 600 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school offers a range of extracurricular activities, including student council, chorus, band, orchestra, and newspaper, art and friendship clubs. In addition, it organizes geography bee and spelling bee competitions and Math Olympiad. Hutchings Elementary provides general academic education to students. Its curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies and physical education. The school also operates a parent-teacher association that conducts several fundraising activities. In addition, it offers special education programs for gifted and talented students. Located in Howell, Mich., Hutchings Elementary is a part of Howell Public Schools.
