Art Van Furniture is a family-owned company that started with one small 4,000 square foot store in 1959. The company sells recliners, mattresses, home office furniture, futons, beds and sofas. Art Van Furniture operates 30 stores in 29 cities throughout Michigan. The company employs more than 3500 associates. The Michigan Retailers Association named the company 2000 Retailer of the Year. In 2003 and 2004 Art Van Furniture was voted Michigan's Best Home Furnishings Store and Michigan's Best Contemporary Furnishings Store by Detroit News Readers.
