Dr. Guss specializes in primary care of adults ages 17+, and focus on patients' general well-being with an emphasis on preventive medicine which includes annual physical exams, plus mammograms, bone density, cardiac and cancer screening, as necessary. She also focuses on the management of multiple and complicated diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Patients have immediate access to necessary procedures and testing. Convenient in-room blood testing and an extensive range of fully accredited diagnostics (such as X-ray, CT and MRI, cardiac & lung studies) located on-site within our beautiful Clinic ensure exceptional same day service and quality care for our patients. When indicated, as an internist, aka PCP, she will collaborate closely with Clinic based sub-specialists in Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Medical Oncology, Rheumatology, Hospitalists, and Radiology as well as other non-Clinic specialists, to ensure their patients receive the care they need in a timely manner. Board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Guss joined MCH and began caring for adult patients January 2011. Since 2003, she has been a faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Guss began her professional career in 2000 at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE as an Assistant Professor in both Internal Medicine & Pediatrics. Dr. Guss completed residency as Chief Resident at Creighton University/ University of Nebraska in Omaha, NE after completing Medical School at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington DC.
