      General Info
      Dr. Laila Tabatabai provides advanced osteoporosis care (including anabolic and/or anti-resorptive medications) to high-risk patients. As a part of comprehensive clinical care, services offered include bone density testing (DXA), administration of osteoporosis medications, laboratory and imaging services. She treats an expanded number of endocrinologic diagnoses to include: • Adrenal disorders (adenoma, hyperaldosteronism, hypercortisolism, pheochromocytoma) • Calcium and parathyroid disorders (hypo and hyperparathyroidism, FHH) • Fragility fractures (spine, hip/femur, radius, humerus, pelvis, stress fractures in athletes, delayed union/nonunion of fractures, among others) • Gestational diabetes • Hypoglycemia (post-bariatric surgery, reactive, insulinoma) • Hypogonadism/low testosterone • Menopausal hormone replacement therapy • Metabolic syndrome • Obesity • Polycystic ovary syndrome / PCOS • Pituitary disorders (adenoma, panhypopituitarism, Cushing’s, acromegaly, prolactinoma) • Osteoporosis (and low bone density for age, osteopenia) • Premature ovarian failure • Thyroid disorders in pregnancy • Rare metabolic bone disease (X-linked hypophosphatemic rickets, osteogenesis imperfecta, among others) • Thyroid disorders (Hashimoto’s, Graves’, thyroiditis, hypo and hyperthyroidism, thyroid eye disease)
